Experience counts for a lot as a home care provider but education can never hurt. A-1 Home Care requires Caregivers to keep their CPR and First Aid training up to date, but you might consider making yourself more marketable by taking additional courses.
Participating in a Nutrition for Seniors class or learning about low impact exercise will add to your skill set and allow you to offer your patients something extra. Even taking a basic cooking class will improve your confidence and abilities in the kitchen on the job and at home.
There are many low cost programs being offered from adult schools, parks and recreation departments and local colleges, especially during the summer. Also look online for a course that interests you and improves the care you provide to clients.

Once you have added to your skills by completing a course, be sure to let A-1 Home Care know. We will update your information, inform potential clients and help you find a caregiving position.
